In memoriam
Gonzalo Alborta Rivero
Mi relación con la familia Merino-Rodo, en los años 70, hizo que conociera a Gonzalo Alborta Rivero, entonces novio de Patricia Merino Rodo, la esposa. Época, sin vacilación, de momentos indelebles y vivencias de una juventud plena. El escenario, fue la casa de Don Baltasar Rodo, en Sopocachi, junto a los cuadros geniales que revestían las paredes de casi toda la residencia, de su hija, la tía Graciela Rodo-Boulanger.
Chalo, Músico, fundó junto a Patricia Merino, Micky Paredes, Julio César Paredes, Susana Jofré y Pablo Muñoz (gran amigo mío que se adelantó al Cielo muy joven), el inolvidable conjunto LIRA INCAICA. La foto pone de relieve a Chalo Alborta (primero de la izquierda), y el recuerdo de aquella canción “María Sol” que se inicia con el sonido de las zampoñas y la cálida voz de Susana Jofré: “…vuelas por cielos celestes besando mil alboradas”.
Allí en ese cielo azúl, que todos con los pies resistiendo el tráfago camino de la tierra, extendemos nuestras manos como queriendo alcanzar el cielo, mora ahora Gonzalo “Chalo” Alborta.
Mi solidaridad con la familia Alborta-Merino; un abrazo a Patricia, extensivo a sus hijos Sergio y Daniel, a quienes el frío de su ausencia entibiara sus hogares.
My relationship with the Merino-Rodo family in the 1970s led me to meet Gonzalo Alborta Rivero, then boyfriend of Patricia Merino Rodo, his wife. A time, without hesitation, of indelible moments and experiences of a full youth. The setting was the house of Don Baltasar Rodo, in Sopocachi, next to the brilliant paintings of his daughter, aunt Graciela Rodo-Boulanger, which lined the walls of almost the entire residence.
Chalo, Musician, founded together with Patricia Merino, Micky Paredes, Julio César Paredes, Susana Jofré and Pablo Muñoz (a great friend of mine who went to Heaven at a very young age), the unforgettable group LIRA INCAICA. The photo highlights Chalo Alborta (first on the left), and the memory of that song "María Sol" which begins with the sound of panpipes and the warm voice of Susana Jofré: "...vuelas por cielos celestes besando mil alboradas" (you fly through the blue skies kissing a thousand dawns).
There in that blue sky, where all of us, with our feet resisting the hustle and bustle on our way to earth, extend our hands as if reaching for the sky, now dwells Gonzalo "Chalo" Alborta.
My solidarity with the Alborta-Merino family; a hug to Patricia, extended to her sons Sergio and Daniel, whose homes were warmed by the cold of her death.

Meine Beziehung zur Familie Merino-Rodo in den 1970er Jahren führte mich zu einer Begegnung mit Gonzalo Alborta Rivero, dem damaligen Freund von Patricia Merino Rodo, seiner Frau. Eine Zeit, in der ich ohne zu zögern unauslöschliche Momente und Erfahrungen einer erfüllten Jugend machte. Der Schauplatz war das Haus von Don Baltasar Rodo in Sopocachi, neben den brillanten Gemälden seiner Tochter, Tante Graciela Rodo-Boulanger, die die Wände fast des gesamten Hauses säumten.
Chalo, Musiker, gründete zusammen mit Patricia Merino, Micky Paredes, Julio César Paredes, Susana Jofré und Pablo Muñoz (ein großer Freund von mir, der sehr jung in den Himmel kam) die unvergessliche Gruppe LIRA INCAICA.
Das Foto hebt Chalo Alborta (erster von links) hervor, und die Erinnerung an das Lied "María Sol", das mit dem Klang der Panflöte und der warmen Stimme von Susana Jofré beginnt: "...vuelas por cielos celestes besando mil alboradas" (du fliegst durch den blauen Himmel und küsst tausend Sonnenaufgänge).
Dort, in diesem blauen Himmel, wo wir alle, die wir mit den Füßen dem Treiben auf dem Weg zur Erde widerstehen, unsere Hände ausstrecken, als ob wir nach dem Himmel greifen, wohnt jetzt Gonzalo "Chalo" Alborta.
Meine Solidarität mit der Familie Alborta-Merino; eine Umarmung für Patricia, ausgedehnt auf ihre Söhne Sergio und Daniel, deren Häuser durch die Kälte ihres Todes erwärmt wurden.
